This is the same trip's photo which I went with my friends namely, Indra (TE member), Arjun etc...in a village in Chinsurah sub-division where the elderly farmers engage themselves in this type of handiworks for their livelihood...

Your work Ayan has tremendous sense of documentary value. I love the way you have captured the finer nuances of the Indian way of life. Nice composition

I really like this daily life scene, Ayan, images that I tend to try to capture also. Fine details and colours, but i really dont think your frame does anythinf for this rather it detracts from the photo.

This is a charming, pictorial type image with the old man engaged in his handywork. The splash of colour and the dark shadow of the doorway, contrast nicely with the natural tones in the photo. Well composed and well done all around.

very good dacumetation..but the frame did not match here...border should be little simple, otherwise it looses the strength of the shot..best wishes...subir

Love the shot, not the border. And what's with all the copyrights? The image quality is excellent, very good light conditions, documentary shot.

I usually don't read other photographer's critiques when I critique a photograph. I want to have my comments as fresh and as unbiased as possible. I completely agree with the other critics, however, that this is an excellent documentary photograph. You may consider keeping very detailed logs and diaries of your travels. If you combine very good documentary photographs with well written text this will increase the chances of being published considerably. Trying to find an interested party is always the toughest part. Good work!

A fine work with excellent documentary value. The light is very good as we get highlights on his face & the work he's doing. Off-centre placement, nice colours are are fine. Border is too heavy for my liking & perhaps the colours as well. Otherwise a very good photograph.

Calm and decorous work! captured the handicraftsman beautifully, depiction of colour is really sophisticated.
The gray frame is also excellent.
Have a nice day, Hisashi
