Photographer’s Note
Another shot from Calcutta. Within a short distance from our guesthouse was a wonderful morning market. This shot was taken on one of the small, dark, and narrow streets that branched out from the market. The light was really challenging, even though the dimmness kind of added to the magic. This man refused to look at me, but knew exactly what I was doing. Taken at 800 iso.
As I learned in India, it is very common for small shopkeepers, to be perched up at what would be about chest height for us. They spend their days, cross legged manning their stalls this way.

Hi Steve,
Another good picture with fine light all over. You should feel grateful to this hawker for minding his own business.
Regards,
Gert

Hi steve
Not so many occidental TE members posting pictures from India. I therefore could not miss your gallery for a long time
Here a good one, quite characteristic of those shopkeepers we see all over the place in this country
well done
