~ THE STORY of the 'F A C E S' ~
I am not going to tell the story of their faces. Those faces itself tell a story... a story of their life... a story about their childhood...
I leave it upon the judgement of the viewer, you have to built your own story... I only can tell that, I met these poor boys in a slum, near my home town.

Good Morning Subhendu,
This is a delightful photograph.
Each person will add their own interpretation of the expression, according to their own experiences.
You have used just the right dof, with sharp focus on the eyes. The second child adds extra mood but takes no attention away from the focal face.
I just love it!
Have a good day,

A very nice image. Great use of depth of field. They look like very intelligent boys. They will make it through life despite their beginning.

Bonjour, cher Subhendu,
Le visage tourné dans la même direction. Quelles sont leurs pensées...?
L'enfance est ce que nous passons notre existence à essayer de retrouver.
Très belle image.

very nice the portrait of the boys with their pose to be very suxccesfully caprurted. The bit blur of the second boy brings out the details of the first one.Excellent.

What a lovely shot of these innocent kids. I think their look tells nothing but their innocence and you have captured that very well in this photo. Good sharp focus on the boy in front and you have maintained enough DOF to understand the expression of the OOF one at the back. Excellent one. Thanks for sharing.

powerful imagery and commentary here. Their faces say it all as you so rightly point out. We can all learn from sensitive images like this and you have captured the very essence of the motive here. We all live in hope that money wasted on war and hatred can be channelled into better causes, but it is not that easy unfortunately. Thought provoking, beautiful and haunting image - thanks for sharing it with us.

a classical composition with the boys perfectly positioned in the frame.
The pensive look upon the faces are very moving,it`s a fine double portrait with good tones and fine sharpness where it needs to be.
High class photography.

J'aime beaucoup ton choix de profondeur de champs pour ce portrait. On dirait que l'on passe du présent au passé dans ce cadrage parfait des deux frères.J'aime qu'ils regardent tous les deux dans la même direction.

Superb note to accompany a great picture. Not much more for me to add, except my congratulations on this post. This is a terrific post!

A beautiful double portrait of these two very serious looking boys. You did very well to use this narrow DOF, slighty blurring the face of the boy in the background. What was on their minds is beyond me, whether they were sad or just looking with great curiosity at something interesting, doesn't matter. I just enjoy an artistically and technically excellent photo.

You are right Subhendu. Every image does not require a translation in notes or comments. Let us leave these innocents watch the amazing world with intense looks. Let us only congratulate the passionate creator of this artwork for his translation of a poetry to a photographic frame.
Thanks a lot.

this is a captivating picture, it's hard to stop staring at this lovely boy and his little brother and not to wonder about the cause of their expressions and feelings. The tight framing has enhanced the intensity of the scene, textures and chromatic tones have amazing naturalness and vividness. The glint in his eyes accentuates the sense of drama in a situation that will remain for us intriguingly mysterious. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

Quite true, faces not need a note, each person must have a different idea or the meaning of their expresions
Anyway good and creative capture with a blured BG to help with contrast and give protagonim at the first boy
Well done, congrats

Hello Subhendu - I love this shot, it is so finely crafted with superb use of DOF and beautiful light that the poignancy of the subject is almost overpowering. This has to be added to my personal favourites. Warm regards Rosemary

Excellent double portrait. Smart tight crop (close-up) choice to accentuate the boy's face with splendid sharpness, nice colors, excellent light and very good POV choice. Nice eyes. Excellent result.

Faces speak always book parts, this is almost always the identity of the man or woman.
This face of the your boy, shows the difficult moment in his life.
This is a wonderful picture with a very nice sharpness and colours.
Very well done, TFS.

Great mood of these two children, they're very expressive, as you say they tell their own story. Great focus on the first boy ; the low DOF helps us to concentrate to his mood.
Great job !
josepmarin (58325) 2014-01-22 5:45
a great portrait of both boys, where we can admire the fantastic visual effect of their look, and we can guess their hard life in a poor village.
The diagonal of the composition, and the good management of the field depth, provide a high quality into your photo.
A superb work, my friend.
fotka (4221) 2014-01-24 5:34
