It was captured at
Baranagar, Murshidabad. It is the famous Bhavanisvar
temple. The pious and
charitable Rani of Natore who passed here last days in this village, built this
temple. This temple is
dedicated to Lord Shiva and is remarkable for its height and universal style. It has and octagonal structure with a domed interior and a corridor with sloping roof. In many places it still retains the ornamentation.
The plaster art on it is (looking like terracotta art) on it is stunning but due to poor maintenance it had lost some terracotta tyles and get ruined...
Previously I posted another shots from different angles in TE. By clicking HERE & HERE you can see those.
Hope you'll like it.

It is easy to see how the ancient stone walls have been marked by the tooth of time!
But still the magnificent architecture prevails, an appealing design with many decorations...
The image shows the details well, good sharpness and natural colours!

A good capture of this temple, which although traditional in style is of quite recent origin if I read your note correctly. The image is well framed and has good light and colour contrasts.

Nice view of the terracotta temple. From this distant view we cannot decipher the artwork well, but we can see the typical Bengal style of architecture with the hut shaped design
