Photographer’s Note
2 girls washing up early in the morning.
With this type of picture, you better not ask permission because you won't get it.
Returning the unsollicated favor, you make sure that the people faces are not in the picture. This was here anyway not the intend.

This is beautiful, Alfred - wonderful colours and light playing on the ripples of water. Composition is excellent with the girls and the foliage creating a diagonal line of interest. I love the pov too - glad you didn't make them identifiable.

You took a very discreet and decent and beautiful photo of these two bathing beauties, Alfred. I like the ripples spreading in that greenish water. I take it this is a river and not a sea.

Beuatiful light and beautiful bodies postures, like a sculpture! Very well composed. I feel the girls moving in the water, carefully.

As you present it to us, I see no problem. I am sure though the women would not appreciate, especially as revealing as that. So, the dilemma for a shot like this is at the moment you take it, being as discreet as possible.
You have your chops pretty together as photography goes, with a good sense of freezing the moment still keeping it quite alive and potent. I like very much the skill you have in composing your shots simply. It may look easy, but as we tend to see too much in a scene, it can find its way in busying a shot needlessly.
PS: 150 views already.... Hum..... :-)

Alfred, this is a really warm, sensual picture. I admit, with such great colors and light, I would have liked to see them from the front - but your effect here is nice.

With all the fear of them seeing you ....inspite of it all you have done a good job.............excellent....thank goodness they did not see you....else you would have been another photographers delite by being in the next day morning daily !!!

Hmmm, very brave of you to take this shot, Alfred :) Very interesting to know they take their bath in the open. I like the ripples in the water, really give that movement feeling. Very sharp composition, with excellent lighting and colors. rgds.

You a brave man Alfred and I dare make a comment as well - Of course this a private situation and I can understand why you didn't try to get permission - But you handle this nicely and given us a fine view of daily life and bath without having a room for this purpose - Thanks for sharing this (Hm 411 Viewers and 30 points)

I like your use of the unknown horizon to which the girls look at, which gives a strong visual sense to the picture supported by the waves which work to carry the eyes of the viewer to the young girl’s bodies, and I really do like the lighting, which could have been improved in an aftermath photoshop session.

although i appreciate your not showing their faces.. i think you should have still asked them for permission even though there is a great chance that you might not have got it. i personally don't have a problem with this photograph, but this kind of photography has been seen as voyeurism by a lot of people... i dont know if you've heard about the kumbh mela.. but till a few years ago , photographers could go around very easily taking photographs inn this festival.. however about a couple of kumbh melas ago, a lot of western photographers came to india and went back with photographs mostly of women bathing. this raised a huge outcry amongst the organisers of these melas.. and now they are quite strict about photography.
taking such photographs with permission is not impossible.. take a look at some of photographs on here
you'll have to scroll ahead and reach the photographs taken in nepal.. ofcourse it'll be unfair to compare you to mccurry, but this is just to tell you that permission can be granted. so please dont misunderstand my words here. i know that you just took it with a photographic perspective to capture some of the daily life, but there might be some people who might find it offensive. so if you ask the women for their permission the next time, you can justify the photograph to the people who find it offensive :)
take care
