Photographer’s Note
The morning, I shoot from the coast of the Bay of Bengal, was not that good as we (our team of 6) thought it would be. It was a cloudy morning and the light was too bad for snapping. The day, meanwhile, became too bad for mankind.
The city name I have mentioned, cannot be found on any map, since Koshafal is a village of fishermen in Orissa. While, on a coastal trek from Chandipur, Orissa, India to New Digha, West Bengal, India, we stayed there on 25.12.2004 night.
On 26th morning at around 6.30am we started walking along the coast. But we were fortunate, Tsunami did not hit the coast of Orissa. We have just seen the water to come close by 10 mts and 50 mts twice.
When we communicated to the rest of world, we realised what happened.
The biggest "Asian Disaster" in 40 years devastated a big patch of the Atlas while the sun was spreading its light on the calm and cool sea.

Well it looks good to me! I think the clouds help to diffuse the harsh sunlight. It is a pity the horizon's tilted, so half a smiley from me.
Glad to hear that you were'nt directly affected by the tsunami.

If I could figure out how to replace the border, I would do a workshop to fix up your horizon.
You are probably still travelling so you are excused from spending much time on such things, all travelling time should be spent out there taking photos and enjoying the people.

Yes, a sad day for so many people world-wide. You were blessed that the area you were at wasn't touched. As we say in NZ to the question of why some are taken and not others, "There, but for the grace of God, go I." A beautiful scene. TFS Kausik...

Hi Kausik, this is a nice pic of a sea that can cause an immense disaster. You were lucky then, I guess.
It's a bit a shame that the horizon is tilted, but it's not important in this picture, I think.

A beautiful calm scene, with beautiful light, Kausik - amazing to think what was to follow so soon after. This is a very special photo. If I were you, I'd rotate the horizon, print the shot, and hang it on my wall. I really like your frame by the way.
