Photographer’s Note

As the dying lights announced the end of the day, sillhouettes celebrated humanity.

Shot at the seashore of Puri, a city beside the Bay of Bengal, well known to tourists for the Jagannath Temple and of course..the sea.

No color manipulations other than a minimal reduction in levels and a slight increase of contrast.

I like this special effects of the light on this sepia tone, very interesting to see the dark figures of people on the beach, especially the reflection on wet sand and part of the water.

I wonder how the real color version in RGB will look.

The sea...always such a source of inspiration...that almost bronze color is beautiful and so soothing...the glistening bits add to the mood, and the people, now, that is what makes this photo more interesting than the usual sunsets. The way they are spread out on the image, in groups, on their own, is truly fascinating, kind of dreamlike and yet so real. Good piece of daily life along its shores and outstanding light. Well done !

simply superb photo!
I love this golden light, sparkles on the water surface and dark silhuttes full of life creating very peculiar yet absolutely georgeus moment. It could easily be an apocalyptic moments in the future or of course, like you said, silhuettes celebrating humanity.
