Golden Beach, a photo from Orissa, East

Photographer's Note

Gopalpur is a unique beach and was discovered as a perfect winter resort many decades ago. Located at a distance of 16-km from Berhampur in Orissa,Gopalpur on Sea is one of the appealing beach along side the eastern coastline of India. Not very crowded like the Goa or Kerala Beach fronts,this pristine small beach of Orissa is a retreat for the sun, sea and sand lovers.

At one time this place was a busy seaport, but today it offers its visitors a peaceful atmosphere that is most favourable for a relaxing break.

Hey Suman,
Good take of this scene - the lobg perspective with the sinusoidal-like pattern of wet sand works quite well with the perspective and the man at the distant (good timing!). The brown tone that dominates the shot add to the overall afternoon atmosphere...

Hi Suman --

Nice shot with the silhouttes in motion. Great sense of timing you have exhibited I think. And I don't know which mode or tone it is but it actually makes one feel pretty soothing watching despite the sun is at the mid of the sky. Nice work.

Beautiful shot here of this lovely beach in eastern India. You really do capture the charm and beauty of an almost endless looking coastline. Very nicely done. A surfing song here in the 70's titled "Beach Baby" had a line in it talking about blue sea haze, and your photo captures that quality when I envision that phrase.

Nice scenery with a difficult point of view, just in front of the sun. You managed it very well. I like the sun reflection on the beach as well as the black figures.
