Photographer’s Note
Parasurameshwar temple.7th century. Situated within a stones thorow from Mukteshwar temple, Bhubaneshwar.
If Mukteshwar has an arch to boast besides the intricate details on its wall, Parasurameshwar has a flat-roofed bhogMandap, both of which are uniquely differnt from the traditional Orissan art of temple architecture.(As this pic is taken from the rear side, the bhog mandap could not be seen)
Another temple with striking similarity with Parsurameshwar is Simhanath near Baramba, a good 95 Km from Bhubaneshwar is constructed around 8th century.
