Photographer’s Note
Where the mind is without fear
and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been
broken up into fragments by narrow
domestic walls;
Where words come out from
the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its
arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason
has not lost its way into the dreary
desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by
thee into ever-widening thought and
action…
Into that heaven of freedom, my
Father, let my country awake.
..............................Rabindranath Tagore
one of my old shots where i caught a pack of village kids jumping into the flowing river.i asked them;... weren't they afraid of the depth and the current of the flowing river, to which they said that they wanted to experience the same free flight of the eagles that were soaring high in the sky at that point of time. i waited for an opportune time and clicked when i could capture an eagle and a jump in the same frame.
i thought the free jump by the kids without any fear into the water and the eagle's flight in the same frame made an interesting and thought provoking shot and couldn't stop remembering Tagore's nobel winning rendition on freedom. hence the dedication.
hope you like it. cheers!!

A joyful view, well presented in black and white and taken at the right split moment.

Hello Balmiki
The timing is excellent..reminds me of Partha's shots! Maybe a tad sharp! But it epitomises the spirit of freedom well...the flying bird is a great metaphor as well.

Angshu
