Photographer’s Note

Downtown Jamshedpur in Eastern India, a small hamlet by the name Sonari which marks the last point of the town. What makes the place interesting is the confluence of two mountain rivers Subarnarekha & Kharkai. They call it ‘Domohoni’. One with two mouths.Deep calm mountain rivers which roars and breaks all barriers during monsoons - but year long villagers cross the confluence by country boat.

This is the picture of Mr.Boatman.We went for a stroll to the temple that you see on the otherside. On return, our little captain suddenly decided to take a fun dip.After the shot, the first thing that came to my mind was a leopard.

TO ME THIS PICTURE IS ICONIC OF FREEDOM, GENUINE INNOCENCE AND HAPPINESS.THIS IS NOT BEING SHAMELESS. THIS IS BEING ‘UNSHAMEFUL’ ABOUT MY SENSE OF BEING MYSELF. THROUGH THIS I SEE THE KID IN ME WHICH TRYS TO BE LIKE HIM BUT CAN RARELY DO SO.

Hi Satyakki,
I preferred to make my comments in French.
But translated, it is this: I found this picture in the beauty of the body as you can see from Rome to Athens in the ancient statues.
It is pure and beautiful.
