Photographer's Note

That old machine is used to grind sugar cane.
This man is selling sugar cane juice in a street of Patna.
Patna is the capital of Bihar, and its most populous city. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited places in the world.
Patna is located on the south bank of the Ganges River.
The last Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, was born in Patna.

Great photo! The clarity is excellent and the colors are vivid. Besides the life on that street, the sugarcane machine is a great subject.

My family used to raised sugar cane in the Philippines, my cousins owns the family farm now. Very nice documentation of the daily life. Good pov and dof with nice details. Excellent colors. Well done, tfs.

They used to have these in Australia in the 1960's when I was a kid but not any more. Saw one in South China though. It's a cheap way of getting the sweet sugar cane juice from the stalk with wrecking your teeth! Tfs!

Of all your shots on life along Indian streets and lanes, this one managed to sum up the real essence of the exciting atmosphere there. I like the illumination from the soft sunlight giving just enough shadow to make it very pleasant to look at. Well done!!
