The Tin Man comes to Town Photo

Photographer’s Note

Another shot from the small village on the opposite side of the river from the famous "Bodhgaya", the place where the Buddha attained enlightement. He is believed to also have visited this particular sight, where he was given milk by a women. We are talking 2600 years ago.

I like this shot because of all the colors, and the apparent confusion of attentions. Taken at 400 iso even though the light seems to be pretty good. Not sure why, but it seems to have ended up okay.

I like the way they look and behave quite natural, not paying any attention to the photographer. A nice street scene typical of what we meet quite often in india. I have a similar one on the same topic, entitled "quincaillerie itinérante" where one also see a trader selling hardware in a village

Hi steve, nice shot indeed. Almost every character in the frame has a dramatic expression and everybody looking at the "other" thing which we can't see.

Hello Steve,
A very fine and lively shot with great colours and interesting expressions of the faces. The white shirt to the left is a bit overexposed and I might have considered cropping that man away, maybe even the little boy with his hand on his neck, because there is a gap between him and the crowd. That would leave the tin man and half of his goods out, on the other hand noone is watching him so it wouldn't really change the story of the picture. Another title would be necessary, of course.
