Photographer’s Note
It was a warm humid day. I was traveling from Middle Andaman to South Andaman and in between there is a river which has to be crossed by a small steamer. This is the part of Andaman Trunk Road which has been closed by Supreme Court of India to protect the Jarawa Group-one of the few indigenous groups in the world which are hunter-gatherer community.
In the steamer, the child was inquisitive about my camera. When I clicked this photo it was dark inside and I had to use flash. The flash made the child more inquisitive.
