Indian society, in popular opinion seems to be a conservative society. Here is a visual that is contrary to the popular opinion. In Khajuraho as I followed these ladies in their exploration of the Khajuraho sculptures, I was pleasantly surprised to see the patriarch of the family explaining to the ladies the intricacies of the sculptures.
The ladies too seemed perfectly amused...

Very interesting picture. They seem like dehatis and that makes this all the more curious, the old man explaining to his wives.
