Photographer's Note

The long walk up the incline to the fort, passing through five gates, ends with an 180 degree turn to the reception area at the Hathia Paur (Elephant) entrance gate. Bastions, rounded, and topped with cupolas, and decorated with coloured tilework, stand guard at each side of the entrance. Inside, the path or roadway continues its upward incline alongside the Man Mandir Palace into the fort.
