Photographer’s Note
Chhattisgarh is one of the poor states in India. I visited one of the remote villages in the state and I met these children near a school. They all belong to Scheduled Tribe groups. When I asked them about their school, they prouduly said that they regularly go to school. When I requested them to smile for photograph, they pointed out that they always smile and they rarely cry. How true....
