Hi Michael, welcome to TE. An interesting choice for a first pic. Georgia is one of those countries we don't see much of, so it is good to come across pics like this. The streams of light coming down are an unusual effect. Well done.
Hi Michael,
WELCOME TO TE !!
A very good shot, the light is wonderful.
Ciao
andrea
very good work here, successful idea. sun rays add mysticism needed for photos with churches on unusual places. I kind of regret that sunlight is so burned in up left corner, but understanding the context of a photo, it fits perfectly, as it could be understood that light just goes down on the sacral object in some kind of rush, with power and energy. So I think over-exposure of that corner, here on this photo, is a plus.
maybe a little bit stronger contrast would make this photo even better. can't say for sure, but just got is as an idea.
seeing that this is your first TE photo, I hope there will be many more as great as this one. so welcome, and I wish you hours and hours (and days and nights) spent in front of your monitor and this website :)

edit:
so I posted a small workshop for you. hope you'll like it
and got a question. when I downloaded this photo, it seemed to be only 30 kb in size. it is still 800x600 shot, so I don't get it, how did you manage to get THAT great, lossless compression? what software?
or is it just not many colors in the photo, so jpeg handled it well..
still wondering :)
Hi, Michael
