Photographer’s Note
In the desert of Georgia, about 3 hours outside the capital of Tblisi, is this amazing cave complex created by Christian monks in the 5th century. Frescos were created within these caves. This is a must see when visiting Tblisi. Part of the trip includes a hike that will take one up on a ridge that overlooks Azerbaijan. Pictured in the foreground is Misha, our guide.

Hi Eric
This is an excellent portrait shot...against the frescoes which are not only marvellous but also provides a beautiful colour background. Very well framed indeed!

nice photo, very good colors in the picture and so bad that frescoes are demolished this much
but, can you explain me how to reach Davit Gareja? Are there minibuses (marshrutkas) from Tbilisi, or I have to hire a guide? Etc etc... I'm traveling soon to that part of the world, so just collecting useful info
thanks
