Kazbegi - Dark skies over Caucasian hikers paradise

Yes, another picture on which you see the Church of Tsminda Sameba or Holy Trinity.
I admit, I thought it was fantastic there.

For blue skies in the Caucasus visitors have to get up early. At least in summertime.
In the afternoon a lot of clouds gather in the sky. Even very dark clouds. That doesn’t mean that it will rain.
During my trip through Georgia I had very little rain and the temperatures were always fine. Although in the mountains it becomes quite chilly in the evening.

I believe that in the next few years the number of foreign visitors will increase in Georgia. For most Europeans the country isn’t far away and certainly not expensive. On cultural and scenically level it is quite varied and has visitors much to offer. Also you can eat (and drink!) well in Georgia.
Above all, the country has a very friendly population. For me that’s an important aspect when traveling. I realize that I have not been able to prove this in my pictures. Daily life-pictures are not exactly my specialty although I really would like to improve in this. On TE I find many examples.

Even though I believe that the number of visitors will seriously increase in the near future, the country will never become a major destination for sun worshipers. Just have a look at this picture.
Is this a good thing for the country or not, I honestly don’t know …
