| Novy Afon Cave is the most important tourist cave of Abkhazia.One of the biggest in the world.The cave was discovered in 1965 by a shepherd boy who was looking for a lost sheep.The metro tunnel built inside the mountain to get visitors to the cave.It is well devoleped,with paved paths,bridges,electric light and music.It has an area of 5710 m2 and volume of 290m.3, temperatur is 11 C degrees inside the cave.The cave consists of 9 halls,for visitors 6 halls are open only.The main passage of the cave is 1.5 km long with survey platforms art illumination also is arrenged.All halls are sounded. |
