| Beautiful village of Mestia in the far region of Svaneti, 7 hours by Niva jeep from the nearest big town. Towers were built by villagers to defend themselves from foreign invaders and each other. THe food was great, just picked berry juices, just made cheede, bread and milk. The simplicity and primitivism of the place was amazing. |

Wonderful, Daniel... this is the place I really wanted to visit, but sadly we didn't make it.
858 views and not a single comment? That's odd!
I'm amazed also at the number of comments here. This is an incredible view you captured and your note is informative. In fact is among the most beautiful scenes I've seen here on TE. I just wish it was a little larger size, never the less, it's still a wonderful photo and it's nicely composed.
Cheers,
Skye
OK I won't go into image quality comments but this place fascinates me, I'm afraid of safety though, I may try it in october, Im definitely going to Georgia but I'm not sure about svaneti. The tight crop and the cloud layer enhance the mystery
