Photographer’s Note

The complex of monastries in Gelati consists of the Monastry of the Blessed Mother - the biggest one(Cerkov Blagomatieri), Monastry of Saint Nicolaus and Monastry of Saint George and the building of the Acamedy. Gelati complex is situated 11 km from Kutaisi on the hills. Going to Gelati monastries it is also worth seeing the Monastry in Motsameda (about 6 km from Kutaisi)

Very nice view of this amazing church. The lighting couldnt be any better. I was looking throough your pictures and you have sompe wonderful pictures from Georgia which is a country that I liked a lot,

It seems to me, what the church and a chapel are a little bit filled up on one party, it so or such capture?

Hi! Nice colours and motive! The conditions are perfect and I really like the angle from where you have taken this picture. It makes look the monastery even a bit taller. Also the colours are shining and bright and the sky with the white clouds makes a perfect background. Looks like a place one should definitely visit in georgia!

An interesting and well lit shot which I wish had been posted at 800 pixels wide.

Since you shot it wide, there is visible distortion, but you could either fix that with special software or leave it as is if you like it that way.

It doesn't bother me, but some folks don't prefer the distorted look a wide lens gives to such architectural compositions.
