The Cave in New Aphon is one of the largest caves in the world. It is situated inside Iverian mountain in Abkhazia. The cave was discovered in 1965 and since 1970s it is opened for the excursions. The cave has 10 large halls and even a subway which is intended for delivery of the tourists into the cave.
There is plenty of stalactites and stalagmites inside the cave, many of them have interesting shapes and forms. This natural formation reminds the head of a horse. |
