Photographer’s Note
The picture was taken in a very small shoe shop in an underpass in Tbilisi in Georgia. It took him half an hour to repair my pair of shoes and it was a pleasure, watching him in his shop about 80% of which are pictured here. He was not even momentarily distracted by me taking this picture of him, although I had to use the flash for the old yellowish bulb was not nearly bright enough in order to shoot the scene adequately.
