Old City at the Georgian Military Road, a photo from Mtskheta-Mtianeti, East

Photographer's Note

This is the place, where the Aragvi River empties into the Kura. Across the Aragvi you can see the old part of the city of Mtskheta, which was the capital of Kartli from IV century B.C. to V century A.D.

Behind me there is another Georgian historic place, Jvari monastery. Several kilometers to the left (downstream along the Kura), the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, is situated, while 50 km to the right (upstream along the Aragvi) there is Ananuri shown in the previous page of this TRAVELOGUE.

Hello Sergiy,
It's beautiful how the houses of the village with their red roofs are scattered in the very green environment. The church towers high over the houses.
Good inclusion of the river and the reed on the foreground.

Excellent presentation of this old city with a large FG which give depht and learn the glance to the city in the BG. The church and its bell-tower arise very well in the landscape.

Nice landscape..good light.

But i have one suggestion..the clarity and white Balance is some how not proper. The are some whitish look i can see everywhere in this photo. maybe u have used point & shoot camera thats why...

Good and interesting note that adds interest at the capture, do you have photos from Tbilisi?
This photo has well balanced colors and great contrasts, green of the vegetation and orange from the roofs and nice flowers on the FG
What calls more my attention is the tower that goes up in the middle of the town
