Photographer's Note

Women weave tais as a cottage industry. Some for sale, some for personnal use. Tais can range from scarf sized to blanket sized and are usually made of cotton, often dyed with natural dyes.
This shot was taken in Suai, a town in southwest East Timor that suffered more than most in the internal conflict of the late nineties.
The shot was cropped in Photoshop Elements and a tad of fill-in flash added.
