Hi Chris, very interesting this stone book, shooting angle opening an interesting perspective on the garden with statues and the ancient wall, what is perturbating are the modern buildings behind, but it seems difficult to avoid them.

Well planned shot, with a good PoV to get all the essential elements in this.

...and probably you got a dictionary/kamus somewhere to help you with :) Previously I noted your village posting, now its chinese/oriental culture. Sorry if I keep coming over. There are photographers that I could learn a lot from, geographically as well as travel photography. Have a nice weekend Chris.

I'll add it to the calligraphy theme. Wonderful point of view, Chris. A very rich composition with so many old and new elements.

I love Fujian province, very good work here, I like the sharpness attained here and the stone writing might be because it is important or something else
well done

A good choice of POV to give impact to the book in the foreground, and using it as an intro device pointing towards the group of sculptures in the back. Good colors contrast provided by the flowers and plants. Nice shot, Chris.

This is really an interesting place to me. This really adda something to TE. Thank you.
Perfect perspective you have here. Every point of the pic is very sharp. The color of the ground creating a good contrast increase the taste of the pic.
Thanks for sharing...

Chris, somehow this reminds me of the ten commandments sculpture that the supreme court said had to be removed in Alabama (?) last year here in the US. What does this say? Confucian coda? interesting shot.

Hello Chris :)
With this stone book in foreground and the statues, wall, and garden in background the shot is richly composed. With the statues in opposition, the scene reminds a giant game of chess. The game, surrounded by a wall giving a natural chessboard. Maybe the next page reveals the way out of the game...Well seen Chris, a lot of possible interpretations on this shot.

Nice perspective on this image.,I like the assymetrical statues from the background. The ancient wall also adds beauty to the whole image. Good composition. Good catch!
