With the Olympics near, Beijing cleaned up the air and places where the sky is normally a dull gray were blessed with a few weeks of rich blue sky. I rushed around Beijing taking photos as much as possible to catch places with this rare clear background.
This image is taken deep within the Forbidden City, the final chamber area where trees were allowed and the Emperor basically lived. The Forbidden City served China during the Ming and Ching periods, China's last two dynasties.

I like this picturesque scenery. Bright (but not flaring) clours, good composition, interesting perspective view.. and of course the colour of the sky :)
