Photographer’s Note

Just another photo of the China Wall. It was also taken in Jinshanling, a restored part of the wall around 10 kms long, with around 67 towers and not so popular among tourists as Badaling. This is a view of the opposite side and this time I got two persons there, something not very easy because there was almost no one around, that's why I found the place so magical..

Ana, you have the best pictures of the wall I have ever seen I think, this is an awesome one! The composition really puts it into perspectives being built across the tops of the mountains. All the recent documentaries talk to how this wall never accomplished anything in war, but I bet it sure kept millions of people from making trouble for the emperor for many years. Gra photo.

Hello Ana.
An absolutely terrific composition and breathtaking shot. I like way we can follow the wall across the top of the mountains in the distance. Perhaps the shot is a little dark and could be lightened a little by adjusting gamma. I love the touch of colour introduced by the inclusion of the walkers. Well done.

A linha a perder-se n alinha do horizonte no 1/3 superior.
As cores sauvizadas por uma aura mística num céu acetinado sem qq polarização.
Excelente o tom ocre da muralha no lado vriado ao sol.

Uma imagem de sonho, Anabela. Fantástico sentir que não está aqui quase ninguém e incrível sensação de grandiosidade com a muralha a ver-se até lá muito ao longe, provavelmente a dezenas de kms daqui...Excelente composição e perfeita inclusão das duas pessoas. É uma zona destas que eu quero visitar um dia.

Hello Ana,

This is a great point of view to show how the wall is winding across the top of the ridge!
This is a well composed presentation with a strong lead-in, sharp fine details and good colour reproduction...
Besides it is nice to see the wall without the usual crowd!

Lovely how you used the wall as a lead-in & also a great perspective leading right upto the corner of the image, zigzagging it's way through the slopes. Perhaps one of the very good shots of the wall I've seen. Maybe lacking a bit contrast, but that's just an opinion. Fine work Ana!
