"HuTong" are common small streets in Beijing. Majority of the Beijing citizens were living in HuTong and some of them last over 500 years.

HuTong was daily life Beijing people. They live there, grow up there. Playing, buying daily needs, studying, everything is in the HuTong. It represent culture of Beijing people.

Since HuTong is pretty small, it is difficult to drive through. People living in HuTong very like to use bicycle. It is also a common thing that Beijing people riding bicycles.

Since the fast growing of population and development of modern city, a lot of HuTong are replaced by high rise buildings. People now come back and considering how to protect and safe their culture.
