One of my early digital images taken inside the Jade Buddha Temple in Shanghai. Not sure which part of the temple I took the shot. It seems like its a private restaurant for the use of monks and temple volunteers, which is at the western edge of the temple complex, not really sure.
The Jade Buddha Temple (Chinese: 玉佛禅寺; pinyin: Yùfó Chán Sì, literally Jade Buddha Chan Temple) is a Buddhist temple in Shanghai, China. As with most modern Chinese Buddhist temples, the current temple draws from both the Pure Land and Chan traditions of Mahayana Buddhism. It was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to Shanghai from Burma by sea.*

Nice one, the atmosphere and setting are well rendered in vibrant colors. looks like one of the monks spotted you ;-)
cheers,

Hello Jom,
This is a beautifully composed shot with vivid colors and sharp resolution. I remember visiting Jade Buddha Temple in 1983, and my old analogue images do not have the enviable qualities of this five year old image on digital camera. A first rate image,
Warm regards,
Bulent
