Photographer's Note
A sign of hope, This is a young Panda relaxing in a tree at Chongqing zoo, although I prefer to see animals in the wild, this is a must to get the population of Giant Pandas build up, the Chinese government & people realize how important the Panda is, not only to there own people but to the world, if zoos help, & the animals are treated well then who am I to complain,

Hi Wilson!
Lovely picture!!. The Panda is really a symbol. The Panda in the Zoo in Vienna has also Pandas and they are really treated well there and the Panda there got offspring and so a lot of people only visit the zoo to see the Panda Baby.

Hi Wilson.
The panda in the tree is impressive. The photo is clear and precise. The V shape of the tree is an asset to the composition. The light brings out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Wilson, Very fine photo of this Giant Panda. I'd like to see them one day. The pose is similar to a Koala relaxing in the tree. Just a bit of his rump is cropped. A beautiful sharp shot with the 28-300 lens. Did you read that 5 keepers were killed in the recent earthquake but all the Pandas survived OK. 8 of them are to be at the Olympics soon. TFS. Murray.

Hi Wilson,
yes, a little rest, maybe a sleep, good idea :-)
Zoo captures are often difficult, no real choice of POV, overcrowded places and what else. This one is well done with good sharpness and textures. The vertical is the right choice to imagine some height.

Hello there Wilson.
Very natural looking colours and great sharpness in this shot. I like the way the subject fills up the frame - you have just the right amount of background and tree trunks in it too - and the shallow DOF is effective. This one looks very healthy, if a little indolent at the moment of capture! Well done.

Andrew

Hi Wilson!
Seems they have suffered a lot with the earthquake too. It's being a hard moment for Chinese people.
I like his pose a lot and you captured him very well.Good light and format.
I like Pandas a lot, really hope we'll never come to lose them. That's something I have to do next time I return to China, to see them.

Hi Wilson,
Nice portrait of this little pande relaxing, but somehow having a slightly sad expression... Good framing, selective DOF isolates the subject well from the background.

Hi Wilson,
Very nice "peaceful hunt" of this cute animal that reminds so much a children puppet. His pose and the branches make a very pleasant graphic compo. DOF, sharpness and exposure are right on the spot.

Quel merveilleux animal tout de même Wilson,
il a l'air si doux sur cette photo, pas étonnant si c'est un animal souvent utilisé comme modèle pour les peluches.
J'adore cette photo.

Hi, Wilson. They look like teddy bears when you see them like this relaxing in a tree. But I think pandas can be very violent. Your composition is nice with the branches forming a Y and framing the animal well. The pandas are an endangered species because they feed only on bamboo and they sometimes have difficulty in finding some. So I think the zoos play a very useful role in their survival.

We didn't hear much as to what happened to the pandas in the reservations after the Sichuan earthquake. Fine capture during a moment of rest-maybe a bit too tight, esp. on the left. They either eat or rest, no? Interesting metabolism. Best wishes,

Hello Wilson,
Je préfère également voir les animaux dans la nature plutôt que dans un zoo, mais si c’est le seul moyen pour préserver certaines espèces, alors oui !
Il est très mignon celui-ci !
C’est une image très sympathique,

Wilson,
a nice close-up portrait of this oversympathetic looking 'little' panda. Nice that at least the conscious for environment and protection focus on these quite charming animals. Good cropping around to focus on the panda and leaving all the disctractive elements out.

Hello Wilson,
Nice note accompanied by a wonderful adored picture. Excellent composition and wonderful colors. Since the Pandas are consider to be an endangered species I don't mind to see them in the zoo, that will ensure the survival rate.

Hi, Wilson.
How incredibly sweet... One of the most beautiful creatures on Earth! In 2006 I remember seeing them at San Diego Zoo, as a matter of fact they just had an offspring, which is BIG DEAL as Giant Pandas don't breed that easy in captivity. So, visitors were required to speak as softly as possible (also no flash allowed) in orde not to scare the cub... Wonderful shot, buddy. Love it! Have a good evening, see ya soon.
Fulvio.

Hi Wilson,
Since you have not posted any new photos I had have a look at your old picture of yours. It is an excellent animal picture which is not always easy to take even if your are in a zoo. I love the way the panda is resting in the tree and it even seems to smile. TFS and have a nice Sunday!
Cheers,
Ulf
