| A quick snapshot taken looking through a gate, in a not so desirable area of Baoji city to live. Not pretty I know, and not very representative of modern Baoji, but still...... very Chinese |

It may not be pretty but it is an excellent picture of a side of China's cities that we don't often get to see ! Thanks a lot for sharing!
This is a wonderful picture and I think the B&W served well to tone down what might have been a bit too chaotic or too gray (I'm trying to imagine what the original view looked like). In terms of not being the pretty side, I think I like this view better. I love old buildings and I know China has been taking down old buildings with a vengeance. Maybe this isn't shiny and new but it is still important. Thanks for sharing.

Lee,
First of all welcome to TE, it will take sometimes but you will make some new friends here.
This image is of great quality and deserved more attention and comment than this. It is very effective in Black&White, good call on that, it gives a sense of timeless quality. It a little bit on the dark side but it's okay here since it's a scene of dark and dirty alley, otherwise I would suggest lighten it up a bit. Keep posting and critiquing others, that when get some feeback on your as well, and keep up the good work. Thanks
