Silkroad travels: Ürümqi

The People's Park is an important institution in the very center of the city, its soul in a way. It was built for the Qing (=Manchu) dinasty officers in 1883, and it was enlarged in 1918. They build this Danfeng Chaoyang Pavilion by imitating the style of Central China. I will show more pictures of this park.

Guten Morgen Dieter!
Was für ein Gebäude! Allein der Dachunterbau ist ja unglaublich. Das Wort Pavillon ist hier leicht untertrieben. Herrlich, wie die Frau ihre Gymnastik betreibt und alle den Schatten suchen. Alles macht einen sehr friedlichen Eindruck...
