| This photo was made from a guard tower on the Great Wall. The Wall and the surrounding mountains made for quite a fortification from the would be invaders from the north. This was on the Badaling section of the Wall. |

Hello Mark,
It has been twenty-five years since I saw this view in person (Badelung Pass). The mist enshroudedd hills framed by a portal in one of the guard towers is extraordinarily effective.
