| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| The roads to Mt. Everest must be done before the Olympics in Beijing, China. Most of our travel was spent sitting waiting for the other jeeps in our group to catch up, and in the dark. At night there was no road work to stop us. Check points were not manned. Our guides prevented us from talking to the locals by skipping all stops for food and bathrooms. This trip, my 3rd, was the first time the Chinese hassled a tourist. Tibet has changed enormously. This road was mostly dirt and usually a single lane before. |
