Photographer’s Note
The wheather is foggy to take a wide angle will not be ideal. However, to make the best out of this situation I decided on taking a high contrast and concentrate on the details of this rice terrace.
This is one of the most magnificent and unique rice terraces in the valley of Yuanyang.
During winter to early spring, the empty rice is filed with spring water from the forest above to rejuvenate and prepared the terrace for the next season. The Hani people have repeated this for more than a thousand year

Hi Tony,
Nice reflections on these rice paddies. The result is very graphic. I ilike how there is still some details in the shadows, to fill in the shadows.

Superb image well fought for and executed. A good example of less is more with respect to its simplicity yet strong representation of the hillside terraces. I like the dark areas which emphasis the reflected light all the more.
Cheers, Keith

Tony: oh yes, this one's something different. An original snap from something that's been photographed to death. Fine material for TE. thanks, c

These well known rice terraces are making a very graphic shot for you. A good experiment!

Tony,
Of the three, I think I like this one best, the weather conditions perhaps lending themselves to a more abstract composition.

Hello Tony! I have seen your rice work before, and I guess I like this one best, it is so much different from any other that I have seen before. Wonderful the last (I guess it was not the first) light playing in the fields, and that you kept the rest dark, taken over by the night. Simply beautiful. Barbara.

OMG! this is an amazing composition and the use of low light gave perfect emphasis on the graphical contour of the terrace. Is it before dawn or a moment after dusk? Am just curious...
Fantastic image, TFS :o)
