Photographer’s Note

A balloon arch in Taiyuan, a medium sized city between Beijing & Xian, that made a convenient overnight stop. The trains were booked out for 4 days, so I caught a bus.

It is an interesting shot with a good positioning of the building and the balloon. It appears that lots of construction work is going around. Like the good colour combination and the presence of that guy perfectly in front of the balloon and taking advantage of a good contrast. Well done.

Nice shot, with those bright red colours really grabbing our attention. The way you positioned the arch ot frame the building is graet too. Well done!

Hi Chris,
The place may not be that nice, with the cars and the construction works on the FG, but the unexpected POV and the vibrant colours make it very eye catching.

nice red bow of a balloon. Brighter than the red house in it. Cars by special people, politicians and so on?

Olá Chris, when I was in China, I never managed to travel by train because of the same problem...they are too many and they travel a lot inside their own country. I like your smart framing with the ballon arch and the role the RED plays here. The person is obviously a good inclusion as well as the shadows in FG.
