Beautifully atmospheric shot, Maciej, with all the subtlety the 35L can yield... Love the look of horror of the guy on the left an the reflections above. I cannot believe I'm only the second to comment - that's incomprehensible to me.
Really nice work.
Cheers,
Francis

Hi Maciej Dakowicz
I was in Xian just a couple of weeks ago and was looking for an interesting shot in this very place, but nothing interested me. You saw the picture that I missed. I should have turned my camera onto the people instead of concentrating on all those relics.
The way you have caught the light shinning up onto your subjects makes the scene more dramatic and their reflections in the glass adds more interest. And the poses of your subjects are so wonderfully natural (each one different).
I difficult shot to take in those conditions but you have succeeded admirably.

Hi Maciek. The neat division between top and bottom, as well as left and right make this work for me. The woman in red looks really quite intense and perhaps even a little troubled. Colors/WB seem a little blue to me, but a good shot overall.

hello Maciej ,
Again a strong photo of yours like we are used to see :)
very unusual point of view and it is really very nice to see the people watching very interested in their own ways to the museum. a refreshing point to observe them !
greetings, inn
enjoy your trip !!

Funny but I think you shouldn't stick too much to your idea of getting a completely mirrored image, the half split doesn't work beacuse of the weaker right side while the left side is crazy (reminds me the drawings in 60's horror comic books called Eerie or Uncle Creepy).
For once, sticking to the rule of thirds was helpful : see my proposition in WS.
And there's that ugly auto white balance again... when are you coming back from China?

Hi maciek,
Fun and very inventive shot, but i'd tend to agree with Luko on his comment about the "light" right side of the photo vs the "crazy" left. His ws is spectacular and shows well the impact a different POV would have done! Still is a good shot!
Eric
Have a safe and fun trip!

I couldn't resist commenting on one more shot from your gallery, Maciej.
Here it is not only the picture itself (that man on the left!), but the title too, which strikes a chord. As you probably know, "admiring old things" is quite an innovative thing to do in China. In fact it is sometimes still considered to be very bizarre to admire old things instead of the new. That brings extra meaning to this shot for me.
WS is great too. Good job on curves, but I regret that the girl with the Tintin-shirt was cropped off. Also her expression adds to the picture and I like the TinTin-logo in that place, yet another meaningful detail for those who notice.
