Photographer’s Note
There's been an explosion of high-rise buildings in Shanghai over the last 20 years. The city fathers, to their credit, insisted, "no matchbox skyscrapers." The principles of fung shui are applied, not only to the individual building's design, but also to the building's relationship with its surroundings and other buildings. As a result, the skyline is absolutely wonderful - colorful, imaginative, and futuristic.

Hi Howard, this is a nice, crisp view of Pudong. You caught it with a good sky for a background, too. The buildings look slight distorted, leaning inward, though. In Photoshop, I believe there is a feature that allows you to fix this type of distortion. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Howard,
This is a great vista that you've captured here. The colors and the slight graininess work well together. The sky looks nice also. This photo seems worthy of a postcard.

Ces immeubles colorés composent une très belle image. Dommage que tu n'aies pas redressé un peu l'image.

You managed to get a great sky in Shanghai, what is not very usual, and that adds a lot of colour and fills more the photo.
I passed the last 6 years in Shanghai, and therefore I know what you are talking about the explosion of construction there. I think 6 years ago some of these buildings were still not there:p
In terms of photo elements, you chose a closer view of the buildings instead of the usual postcard view of the Pudong skyline, and I appreciate that. However, I would perhaps prefer if you would put the camera a bit more to the right, putting the Pearl Tower more to the left but avoiding cutting the Aurora building.

Hi Howard, you've captured an interesting landscape here. Nowhere else but in China would you probably see such an architectural mix. The building on the left reminds me of a similar one in Urumchi. Good work!
Regards,
Ryno
