When you open the magnificent scroll painting of Yunnan — “the south of rosy clouds” — in China, and when you set foot on Yuanyang with the hope for wonders and being away from urban annoyance, you will be attracted by the splendid sea of clouds, the spectacular terrace and colorful customs of various ethnic groups there. You will most likely be impressed and inspired by the grand terrace, which piles up over all the mountains, winding and never-ending.
Here, you can focus your camera on the Hani’s terrace, catch the village’s natural change around seasons, shoot the smile of people from various ethnic groups, and record the vitality of Yuanyang. You will be left with many pleasant memories about Yuanyang.

Good idea to show the sunset through water in terraces. Some terraces being empty added a different mood. Thanks for sharing....

Excellent time of day and POV for the shot. Nice rich colors silhouetting the trees in the foreground. Well done. Reid

I like the golden reflections on the rice terraces...and the contrast between the golden reflections and the dark..

I might question your post processing here. Thanh. Did you desaturate the image and try to seperate the trees from the water? I don't like the outlines asround the trees.

wow, golden ricepaddies... beautiful light and nice captured. I like the combination with the dark lines.

I'm a bit intrigued (as I'm looking at the picture) and I have to ask you a stupid question: are the dry terraces a common sight during this time of year (the time you visited the place)? They weren't so obvious in the previous images that you shared from YY.

sensational... TE tends to get flooded with rice paddy shots, but this is very nice, great shot, cheers, James

Nice photo with only 2 tones contrasting each other. And the composition is accurate.
