I also prefer this shot to yesterday's street shot. While yesterday's shot was very sharp, it lacked an interesting element. This is quite a good shot, and makes a good use of a tilted capture. Normally I am not a fan of diagonal angles, but I think you have done a good job on this one, with the kanji and english characters tilting from one corner to the other. You have also done a good job managing the light which can be difficult with bright neon signs.
Cheers

Salam,
Great composition and colors.

Hi John!
You are WAY too humble... Content-wise, I do feel that your shot is much more interesting than yesterday's posting. The difference is in the sharpness and framing. I did make a workshop with some noise reduction, contrast enhancement and a different frame.
But I like this shot! A lot to see!
Have a good day, Dennis

Hi John,
Thanks for the compliments on my photo yesterday but sorry, I agree with Dennis, you are being far too humble - this is better than my effort! I like the square format here and again the diagonals work well on this image. A pity about the slight graininess but it doesn't really detract from the image and the colours are beautiful. I must say I prefer the dark frame Dennis has added on his workshop photo, I think it's more complementary to the neon. Great work, John!
Best regards,
Rich

Hi John,
I'm not too fond of tilts, but I like very much the kaleidoscope of colors and bright lights of the Kowloon nights, and yours look excellent, well exposed and with pounchy colors.
Have a nice day,

Hi John
The tilt and square format are interesting, graphic touches that go well with the colourful signs, typical of Hong Kong. You've chosen well with a mix of Chinese and English righting as well as the strong coloured lines. By reading the signs, it's not where I'd go though ;-)

Hello John,
A first rate shot, presented as a rhombus. Tilting the camera 45° creates an image of the dizzying spectrum of signs and colors. The definition is very good, and all in all this is a very effective photo.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi John
Interesting creative shot with the tilted effect over the bright Chinese signs/neons. You have chosen the perfect sign 'friends entertainment lounge'. A colorful shot!
Cheers

Hi John,
Very original with the tilted frame! The neon signs are so bright and colorful! By the way, it is interesting that some of the signs are read from top to bottom, while some are from left to right and there are also some from right to left! Very nice!
