Near Turpan, One of the major old silkraod cities in Xinjiang province, there is a valley called "Chunbulddong". Literally it means 'Thousand Buddha Caves", where actually thousands of caves with Buddha images used to exist along the valley till some hundreds' years ago. However almost all images and fresco paintings on the wall were already robbed and disapeared, completely nothing to see nowadays.
The place shown is a deserted hill right up on the caves, where the tourists can enjoy camel safari. |

Hi Lee
I like the POV. Minimalist colour but striking. The size of those people on camel backs gives an excellent perspective of the vastness of the desert.
Cheers / Steven
Hi JS
I like this desert picture and the camels formation make this picture more impressive. Well done and TFS

Lee, the photo is great: composition is great (although I'd cut bottom 20% of the photo) and colors are so natural! Well done!
so simple so beautyful. Great contrast of sand and heaven!
cheers
Rolando
Hi JS. Nice composition, showing the hugeness of the dessert by comparing it with the people crossing it. The colors are very eye-catching. I wonder why it hasn't received more critiques. Regards, Yvonne
