This is the bridge near the Three Gorges Village (TGV). In the distance you can see some boats belonging to the village. Click here for more information about TGV.

The area around TGV is very beautiful and offer great photo memories.

Note: The photo was taken around noon under difficult light conditions because one part was completely in the shadow while the other part was overexposed. It took me a while to get the right light balance. I could not wait for better light conditions because the cruise only stopped here for one hour.

A lovely scene Tai! I trhink you handled the difficult light well. The dark and bright side is a good thing in this picture, it gives a tension between the sides and also shows that the gorge is deep.

What a peacefull and resting scene Tai. This is a very nice catch of a charming place. The light is beautiful and reveals so many green shadings, that's amazing. Good POV and well composed, you also succeded in exposure despite the lighting conditions. A good choice to keep details on highlights. Very well done Tai.

Given the mid-day light conditions I think you really did well, Tai. The color hues on the water are beautiful, and I also like how you positioned the bridge for the benefit of your composition. Like Ebbe writes, the differences in light and shadow tell us something about the depth of the gorge, so it's not a bad thing at all.

Again the colors are beautiful. This water is great. You made good use of the harsh lighting. THe contrast between the bright shore and the dark shore is very nice and the bridge links them perfectly. Great textures and depth, too. Very nicely done.

WOW it is a beautiful place, excellent composed, I do thing you done vell under light conditions, beautiful. Great sharp and very good perspective. I do like the contrast in it, and over all a great picture.

The bridge grabs my eye, which it should of course considering your POV and composition. I appreciate your putting weight on the left side of the image with its more saturated colors, as you shift the bridge slighty off center. The eyes is led from left to right and ultimately beneath the beautiful bridge and along the length of the river, inevitably coming back to the bridge. Wonderful.

I believe you when you say this was a challenging lighting situation to master, but the finished product is very fine. I'd welcome hearing from you what you did to deal with the disparity. I'm still a novice in post-production work and would welcome some tips.

Un décor enchanté avec de beaux tons de verts dégradés.
L'équilibre ombres lumières est parfaitement maîtrisé.

A marvellous decoration with pretty tone of degraded greens. Balance shades lights is controlled perfectly.
