Yuanyang handmade curves
Yuanyang is famous for cultivating terraced fields and Hani minority had by hand created an environmental wonder in mountain area. Their culture is a terraced field agricultural civilization, which has a perfect agriculture system and an agro-worship system as well, the concept of worship is built on the basis that man and nature are in harmony, countless terraced fields are an evidence of this belief.
Terraced fields have a long history. From the data in Chinese characters, they have already had a history of more than 1,300 years. Hani connecting terraced fields are seen from mountain to mountain with great momentum. In Yuanyang, the area of terraced fields amount to more than 11,000 hectares, and for more than 3,000 steps of which stretch from the foot of a hill up to the top.
Yuanyang is on a high ridge between two valleys. It's mainly a new town dominated by unimaginative cement buildings and two long streets. Its buildings rise so steeply that stairways connect many roads. Strolling through the market was visually intoxicating. Ethnic minorities, who make up the bulk of the people in town and the rural scenery are Yuanyang's attractions. The town was a bustling mosaic of brilliant color. Women in dazzlingly embroidered outfits toted bushel baskets of produce that seemed to glow in the alpine light.
Yuanyang terraced fields has been placed into the preparatory list of World Heritage in China. Application of Hani Terraced Fields for World Heritage has been committed and Thanh and I are making a combined effort to promote Yuanyang for UNESCO’s recognition as their new selection of “Educational, Scientific, and Cultural” site of mankind.
Our photographic ability to boost or to reveal Yuanyang’s beauty is humble and limited. Please come and actually evaluate its entire magical magnificence and give it your vote. Thanks.

This is a stunner. I remember visiting Yunnan but not having the energy to visit this place...sorry I missed it now. You have captured the scope of the landscape brilliantly and your capture bathes the area in a gorgeous golden light.

Cet endroit est une mine d'or pour le photographe. Les différentes lumières sculptent à chaque fois un paysage différent et toujours très beau. L'effet graphique est étonnant et bien accentué par la lumière.

I am happy to see you again on TE. Your work is so inspiring. I am also happy to see that you managed to made a trip to YY as you wished.
The result is outstanding with this nice and subtle sky reflecting itself in the water mirrors.

You are indeed very humble, for in spite of your reassurances that you're only an amateur, I personally am a great fan of your landscapes, which are full of vitality and life. This one is no exception. The perspective is wonderful, enabling you to fill the entire frame with this spectacular view.
Out of curiosity, do you remember where you took this one from? I'm going there in May, and I'd like to get a few half-decent pics, though in my case humility is far more warranted.
