Life in Mong Kok can sometimes be described as truly an urban jungle, a wild jungle festering with hip-cats, shopping-vultures swooping in for the bargains, and sleazy snakes plying their legal and sometimes illegal wares. Where tall buildings and delapidated tenements acting as the thick jungle canopy making it very humid in summer in the area as the wind is rarely felt blowing through.

Despite that, Mong Kok life is teeming with youthful vibrance and happiness and colour and noise - just like a real jungle. This is one of the most crucial locations you have to experience visiting Hong Kong as shops dont close till 11pm everyday, and the people are always there for an honest good time, even if there are snakes hissing at you. A Rat Race like no other.
