[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot depicts the *Monument of Peoples Heroes*, located in the middle of Tiananmen Square, in Beijing.. It was build in 1952-58.
The 37,9 m hight obelisk bears carvings of key patriotic and revolutinary events... its northern fagade is dominated by the inscription, "Eternal Glory to the People's Heroes," in Mao Zedong's hand.

The monument is illuminated at night and it leaves quite a different impression then the grayish shades during the day..
