Photographer’s Note
This was taken from the departures area on the day I left for Beijing. It is a follow-up of this post, which I have photographed several months earlier. It's early morning, and even though it's Christmas eve (lots of people leaving for vacation), the normally busy corridor was half empty.
Scanned from negative.
Hope you like this, all comments welcome :)

Waouhh ! bravo Cheuk Hin pour ce très beau n&b : la lumière est bien répartie dans cette photo avec une partie haute qui met en valeur le sol de cet aéroport. Très belle qualité également. Bravo
Bonne soirée

It's great! The architeture is really striking, a bold, modern statement. You've got a good viewpoint here. And I like B&W, especially when it's film.
The contrast is excellent here & I especially like how the gate numbers on the signs stand out so well against the darker background.

Hi Cheuk
China is now really a modern world. The atmosphere is interesting with this light on the roof and a nice perspective.
Well done

A very nice bw shot, Cheuk. What strikes me here is the wonderful light and excellent pov that allows a spaceous view into this airport with the tiny characters reflecting on the floor. The more I look at it the more I love it...

Hi Cheuk,
maybe its a bit dark on the sides, thats the only criticism I would make of it. Whats good here are the beautiful contrasts this photo offers, the white text on black, the arrows always a good element, the nice lattice work of the ceiling.

I have a strange feeling looking your photo:actually our busy life is controled by numbers ,rules and indicators...Then, your picture is almost a metaphor of life.As we see even here, only a kid can break the rules and make our life more unforeseeable, surprising and beautiful....
Perfect POV,excellent choice for B&w,my friend...sorry for this comment, maybe I'm in a sad mood tonight :)
All the best

Hey Cheuk,
Different version and format compared to your 'Departure' image. More on the 'graphic' visualisation of shapes, figures, play of shadows using the gray tonal shades and the strong impact of B&W! Perhaps a little contrast will add a bit of edge IMO :)

Jom

Hi Cheuk Hin!
Very impressive photo! Although you chose b&w (and you did perfectly well) your photo has a futuristic feeling. Congratulations!
Best regards,
Hercules

Hello Cheuk hin,
film's not dead ;-)nice range of grey ,there's a feeling of space giving by the perspective,i also like the graphic side with the white numbers on the black, the little human silhouettes add life to the picture, did you made a lot of PP or is it close to the original scan?

Wonderful b&w textures, tonal range, & contrasts, in this superb image. I like the linear perspective, & the people add scale. Xie Xie!

Good showing of the interior space in this compo, Cheuk-Hin, as well as a fine tonal range obtained during the b&w conversion. A striking graphical result from the way in which the numbers, arrows, and lines of the architectural design blend together. Not least the play of shadows with the tiny humans on the ground. Nicely done.

On one level just a shot of an airport concourse, but the use of black and white film and the wonderful high contrat with deep blacks and white whites adds another dimension.
The composition is also excellent, with good use of the strong lines running through the image.
Good work Cheuk, I like it.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Cheuk Hin
I love the contrasts which come out of the white numbers & arrows in the dark BG. The diminishing perspective, the ceiling, all have come to good effect from your POV...only this is a bit too dark IMO, otherwise a quality shot

Angshu
