I think the photo is a little bit over exposed, but I do really like the composition and the explosion of colors!

Hi Jie, it's indeed a bit overexposed but I like the fact that you took a straight picture of people - they make nice subjects :-)

Well of course he is a young monk....or even perhaps a novice....and he may not be thinking at all, but knowing instead....and we will never know which.
A good capture and you already know about the exposure...something you could adjust in post processing.

I was browsing your photographs when I came across this one. I really like the pose; the hand covering the face and the peeling paint on the the door. But the the most interesting aspect for me are the monks shoes, I always thought monks wore sandals not trainers.
It is this contrast between the tradition and modern that makes the shot natural for me. Nothing in this world is ever perfect. Actually I never really noticed the exposure, I was to busy looking at the composition.
